Sir Andrew Witty carried out an independent review into how universities can drive growth in their areas and for the benefit of the wider UK. The review made a number of recommendations including:
- simplifying complex funding streams
- securing the potential of the technologies of the future
- giving universities a greater role in delivering economic growth.
