Partners urged to have their say in national AHSN survey

Partners of the Oxford Academic Health Science Network are being encouraged to have their say in an independent national survey.

The feedback will help paint a picture of how well the Oxford AHSN is doing in bringing together the NHS, universities and industry to spread innovation, improve patient outcomes and encourage economic growth.

The survey is run by YouGov on behalf of NHS England. It is a follow-up to the first national AHSN survey carried out in 2015. Since then the Oxford AHSN has commissioned its own independent survey from ComRes. The vast majority of the 563 people who took part said they believed the Oxford AHSN is having a positive impact in the region.

Four in five (80%) said it was building a culture of collaboration and partnership. This compares to three in five (61%) in the 2015 national survey. Read more here.

Oxford AHSN Chief Executive Prof Gary Ford said: “We’re really grateful to all those who took part in our survey a couple of months ago. We now need people to complete the national survey to give us a clear idea of how we – and all other AHSNs – are perceived to be contributing to better health and prosperity.”

YouGov are contacting many AHSN partners direct.

The survey can also be found here: www.yougov.com/oxfordahsn   The deadline to complete it is 16 September.

* We are aware that some people may have experienced problems accessing the survey. If you have been unable to complete the survey please let us know as we really value your feedback.
