The NHS Innovation Challenge Prize offers up to £240,000 plus tailored support – including from Academic Health Science Networks – to bring about real and sustainable change benefiting patients. No current competition open.

UK Life Sciences Access to Funding website is supported by the Office for Life Sciences and UK Trade & Investment.

The European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) offer opportunities to NHS organisations to access EU funding in collaboration with Local Enterprise Partnerships across a broad range of initiatives including research, development and innovation. Horizon 2020 is the European Commission Research and Innovation Fund. Across the European Union, Horizon 2020 will put over €670m into health research, providing 100% funding of supported projects.

The Enterprise Europe Network provides business support for organisations looking to develop and grow in Europe and beyond. Working with 600 regional offices in all EU member states, the EEN offers a business matching service to connect SMEs to new business, technology and research partners. Other services include facilitation of initial contact, identification of EU funding, IP advice and an international enquiry service. The EEN is funded by the European Commission and Innovate UK (see below) and its services are free.

Innovate UK (the Technology Strategy Board) funds, supports and connects innovative businesses to accelerate sustainable economic growth.
