Julia received a diagnosis of Bipolar 1 with co-morbidity of alcohol abuse in 1989 – and has never looked back! She completed a degree in psychology to understand the development of the mind and its effect on behaviour and personality. She has worked, primarily in marketing, at both a national and international level most of her life. Julia has spent the last eight years up until retirement working as both an Independent Mental Capacity Advocate (IMCA) and Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA).
