England’s 15 Academic Health Science Networks have worked together on a series of national programmes since 2018. Read more about current and previous national programmes here. The Oxford AHSN’s Clinical Innovation Adoption (CIA) programme has led local delivery of many of these.
In addition, AHSNs are key partners of the Accelerated Access Collaborative (AAC), which supports innovators and sets the strategy for a more effective innovation ecosystem to ensure patients have access to the best new treatments and technologies. The CIA team leads on many of these initiatives in the Oxford AHSN region, alongside colleagues in the Strategic and Industry Partnerships programme. These include:
- Rapid Uptake Products
- Pathway Transformation Fund
- MedTech Funding Mandate
The Oxford AHSN and National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) Oxford and Thames Valley have secured £275,000 from the NHS Insights Prioritisation Programme to support roll-out of good practice relating to care of people who have had a transient ischaemic attack (TIA) or minor stroke.
