Stakeholder survey highlights support for Oxford AHSN

Local respondents to the first NHS England and Academic Health Science (AHSN) Network stakeholder survey indicated that the majority of respondents (44/58) would recommend working with the Oxford AHSN.

The survey, conducted by YouGov, was commissioned to understand the impact of the 15 AHSNs set up across the country since 2013. Information gathered will be used to understand progress, identify areas for development and examples of best practice.

Professor Gary Ford, Chief Executive, Oxford AHSN, said: “We welcome the survey which has provided useful insights into how the work of our and other AHSNs is perceived. It’s an early benchmark on which we will reflect and build.

“The results are encouraging because they indicate that people increasingly understand the role of AHSNs – bringing benefits to patients through collaboration around innovation, and helping our partners deliver more than they could individually. As our programmes start to deliver a key priority will be measuring the impact of our work on improving patient outcomes and economic growth.”
