New digital health roadmap provides tools to turn ideas into products

Oxford AHSN's digital health roadmapThe Oxford AHSN has launched a new roadmap and guide to help innovators overcome the complexities and challenges related to developing digital products to improve health.

These resources draw on the Oxford AHSN’s deep knowledge and understanding of the pathway from concept through to adoption in the NHS and other healthcare systems. It helps innovators ask the right questions at every stage including design and development, interoperability, information governance and data management, the regulatory framework, clinical testing and developing a commercial model.

The roadmap and guide were developed after identifying a gap in support for SMEs developing and commercialising digital health products including health management apps, wearable tech and online interactions.

Dr Nick Scott-Ram, Oxford AHSN’s Director of commercial development, said: “We hope those involved in developing innovative digital products designed to improve patient care will find this an invaluable resource.”
