Stuart has more than 30 years NHS experience. He has been Chief Executive of Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust since October 2012. He was previously Chief Executive of the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust since it was formed in 1999. Stuart has held senior planning and service management roles in acute teaching and general hospitals. He has also had regional responsibility for organisational development and performance management. He is an Honorary Fellow of King’s College London and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Stuart is also Chairman of the Picker Institute (Europe). In 2008 he was awarded the CBE for services to the NHS.
