Mobile app development workshop 24 June 2014

IMG_0753Smartphone app developers shared their experiences and offered some useful handy hints at our workshop on 24 June 2014.

Quick-fire presentations from six companies were followed by informal networking opportunities.

This project links into a number of our key programmes including Clinical Innovation Adoption and Wealth Creation.

A novel innovation at the latest event was the introduction of a ‘Help Wanted’ wall (pictured) where participants could post requests. The full list of requests can be found here – please contact them direct if you can offer a solution.

There was also the opportunity to give a brief overview of a particular issue and ‘crowdsource’ ideas. Dr Rupert McShane, who leads the Oxford AHSN Dementia Clinical Network, sought views in this way on how best to harness smartphone technology to help people with dementia.

We are processing all the requests for help and putting people who posted questions in touch with those who may offer solutions.

The event at the Oxford Science Park was our second event under the ‘Map that app’ banner.
