We ran a pilot “local health bulletin” to inform patients about health issues researched by the Oxford Academic Health Science Network across the region to improve health. Some 3,000 copies were distributed to wide-ranging venues from pubs and hairdressers to dentists’ and doctors’ surgeries. An evaluation was produced.
This has led to an ongoing partnership with a Health and Wellbeing Board community engagement panel and establishing and sustaining a monthly “Your Health Matters” column in a local newspaper, online and through social media.
