  • Improve AF patient outcomes through community-based detection, management and stroke prevention
  • Reduce variations across clinical pathways and practice
  • Promote standard tools and scoring in GP surgeries
  • Pilot innovations such as: new oral anticoagulants; self-service or GP-based point of care testing
  • Propose a strategy to reduce unwarranted variation and deliver a high standard of care across our region
