Map that app: how to get your smartphone ideas into production

The Oxford AHSN is hosting an introductory event for everyone interested in the development and commercialisation of healthcare-related smartphone apps.

The two-hour session takes place at our offices at the Oxford Science Park on Wednesday 29 January (5-7pm). Light refreshments will be provided. The programme includes handy hints from some trailblazers including:

  • Defibrillator locator (South Central Ambulance)
  • Monster Manor blood glucose measurement game for children with Type 1 diabetes

There will be first-hand demonstrations as well as the opportunity to have your questions answered, find out what support is available and network with others who are also considering, or are already, developing apps.

To help us make sure the programme meets the needs of those attending we are asking people to complete a quick survey by 24 January covering any experiences you have had around app development.

We plan to follow up this event with practical workshops.

This project is supported by NHS Innovations South East who will also present a roadmap for app development and commercialisation.
